The most recent incident saw CSK star Shivam Dube mocking the RCB fans after guiding the five-time champions to a comeback victory over the Lucknow Super Giants on Monday at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.

With 44 runs needed from the last four overs, the LSG versus CSK match was getting tense. But a few boundaries and a six from MS Dhoni made things easier, bringing the target down to 24 runs from the last two overs. And then the duo made the most of the 19th over bowled by Shardul Thakur.
Dube began that over with a boundary and a six, and Dhoni finished it with another four. In the final over, Dube calmly hit the winning boundary on the third ball, sealing a thrilling five-wicket victory for Chennai Super Kings against the Lucknow Super Giants on Monday.
Shivam Dube’s cheeky reply to RCB fans goes viral
After the successful chase, the CSK all-rounder was making his way to the dressing room, and on the way, some fans were chanting “RCB”—the franchise represented in the past IPL seasons—and they ended up getting a taste of their own medicine.
Dubey smiled and showed a finger at the five stars printed on his CSK jersey to rub salt on the RCB fans, as the franchise is yet to lift the trophy, while Chennai already has five titles in the cabinet. Now, the clip of the moment has been going viral on social media across the platforms.

Meanwhile, Shivam Dube played the match-winning knock of an unbeaten 43 runs off 37 balls against the LSG. However, MS Dhoni was adjudged Player of the Match for his game-changing cameo of 26* off 11 balls against the LSG. Ravindra Jadeja (2/24) and Matheesha Pathirana (2/45) were other key contributors in Chennai’s thrilling victory over Lucknow in Lucknow.

Shivam Dube shines against LSG as CSK break losing streak in the IPL 2025
After the match, Dube had said that this win was very special. He also mentioned that losing five games in a row wasn’t something people expected from CSK. He praised the bowlers for doing a great job and said he had made up his mind to stay till the end and finish the match.
The star all-rounder had said of his game plan, “It’s not about the mindset, and it is about playing according to a situation, which is why instead of attacking, I felt taking the game deep was a better option. My plan was very simple, which was not to try and hit the ball very hard because the bowlers were executing very well. Taking positives from this game to the next game is very important.”
