According to India Today, the meeting has been postponed by the BCCI to another date, which is yet to be confirmed. The meeting was important as it was expected to decide on various issues regarding the future of the Indian team.

The future of the senior cricketers Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli was to be decided in this meeting. Both Kohli and Rohit have been excellent in the ODI format but their form in Test cricket has been a huge concern.

There are still question marks over their selection for the England tour where India will play five Tests. Another important topic to be discussed was about the future captain of India’s Test team.

With Rohit Sharma not in great form lately, there is a sense of uncertainty over his selection for the Test series in England. Jasprit Bumrah is one of the candidates but his injury-prone nature will be discussed by the selectors.
